The Finance Committee
met to respond to a request from the Board of Trustees regarding the church's failed septic and drain system. The
committee accepted the trustees' recommendation to take necessary steps to abandon the existing septic system and to connect
the church to Athens-Clarke County commercial sewer at a cost estimated to be $12,000.
Rev.
Tac's response to funding the sewer project. I am totally in favor of connecting to the county sewer system.
We do not have this amount in our maintenance fund. In faith I know we can quickly bring this request together and do
what must be done. No gift could be neither too small nor too large. Let us all work together in building the
kingdom.
A Call for Bus Driver(s). The Trustees will be offering a class
for all persons interested in obtaining a CDL/Passenger Driving License, which is required for driving our bus. All
persons should apply to our Trustees chair, Greg Williamson by September 1st. In case no drivers are obtained the Trustee
Committee will be considering other options.

The Vine Sunday Morning Faith Group - Rev Tac invites "Newcomer*" adults 21 and older
to join us for the study: "Attitude Is Your Paintbrush" by James Moore. Meet at 9:45 a.m. in the banquet hall

The Seeker Sunday
School class has begun a 14-week study on 1st and 2nd Corinthians. The class will be using the Kay Arthur inductive
study, "God's Answers For Relationships And Passion". All are welcome to join. Please contact Wally
Pressey @ 706-742-2787 to reserve a book or for more details. It's never too late to visit the class and jump in
on the lessons!
Substitute cooks for Wednesday Night Suppers. From
time to time one of our regular cooks cannot help on their designated night. We need people we can call to fill in.

Bus Driver is needed. Anyone interested in serving the church as a bus driver, please contact
Greg Williamson, Chairman of our Trustees. A CSL license is require, plus a passenger ad-on, and the church will help
you through the process! We are anxious for our van and bus to be used as much as possible, and qualified, capable drivers
are needed. your ideas and suggestions to make possible a broader transportation ministry would really be helpful.

Winterville Women Exercise Class -
4:30-5:30 p.m. in the banquet hall. You'll need a yoga mat and hand weights. cost: $10 per week.
Grounds Keeper Volunteers needed. Please contact Greg Williamson
or add yourself and your team of friends on the schedule in the Administrative Hall..
Children's Church volunteers are needed for rotation. Please contact the
church office.
The Youth need volunteers to provide a snack supper on Sunday evenings.
The sign-up sheet can be found in the Administrative Hall on the Sign-up board.
Check
out the yearly calendar and the bulletin boards in the Administrative Hall. Please help the staff keep them
accurate by calling in or stopping by with updates. Also, the minutes of some of the meetings are posted along with
other needed information. All sign up sheets are there also.
The New Church Coffee
Mugs will be given to new members, but are available for sale at $10.00 each to any member.

Neighborhood Welcome Watch Program packets are available to give to new families moving into your neighborhoods.
Keep one in your car. Take one to work and give to a co-worker. Let's use 'em! There are a few hanging
on the coat hook outside the church office.
Cookbooks are on Sale and are $10.00 each and benefit
UMW mission projects. Just put the money or a check in the offering plate and mark it for "UMW Cookbook" or
give to Kristy.
A Tape Ministry has been started at the church. If

T.O.P.S. meet every Monday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

The Men's Group has a Tool Box Ministry for anyone needing a small job done around the house that you need help in completing.

Prayer Chain - Anyone interested in becoming connected to our church prayer chain by email, please
call the church office at 706-742-2445 or email us at wintervilleumc@gmail.com with your email address. We will also notify our church community about emergencies and deaths in our church family.
Save Aluminum Cans - We are collecting aluminum cans. Please drop them off outside the fellowship
hall in plastic bags. All proceeds go directly into the Building Fund for the addition to our church. Call the
office if you have any questions.

Sanctuary Flowers.
If you would like to place flowers in the sanctuary for a particular Sunday morning, please sign up on the flower calendar
located in the education wing hallway. We must have your reservation at least one week in advance of your desired Sunday,
and, unless other arrangements are made, please give a check to the church in the amount of $40.00 for each Sunday you reserve.
